Hybrid sunroom bathes beautiful home in sunlight

Fife

Mr & Mrs Wilkie wanted a room at the back of the house where they could enjoy relaxing and dining with the family.  They didn’t want a full glass roof but wanted plenty of light to be let into the sunroom and into the kitchen, so they decided on a hybrid design with a solid roof with 2 large windows.

They selected to have glass to floor windows so they felt almost as if they were sitting in the garden when inside.  Also their 2 dogs love looking out of the full length windows into the garden, and basking in the sunshine whenever they can!  The dogs love to be in the sunroom!

They have an overhang of roof on the gable side so they could have extra external lighting to further enhance the look of the room in the evening.  The flooring is hardwood with naturally occurring knots throughout which blended well with their existing kitchen flooring.  The hardwood sills of the 2 internal windows completes the quality internal finish.

Coupled with some stunning bright chairs, this is truly a living space that is enjoyed all year round by the whole family.
