Improved heat retention for restored Victorian home in Fife

Fife

The property was built in 1855.  When Mr & Mrs Ramsey moved in they took on the job of restoring the house into a stunning home for their family.

They decided the first priority was to replace the front windows.

Their Sales Representative, Mark was ‘fantastic, friendly and not pushy’ which made them feel comfortable about making a decision.  He gave excellent advice on design and was very knowledgeable.  They are quite visual people and Mark had ‘hundreds of photos on his ipad which helped us to visualise’ how the finished job might look.

They were impressed with everyone who was involved in their installation.

The main differences are in heat retention and noise reduction.  They live on a busy road and the traffic noise has been greatly reduced.

The house is now much warmer.  Some neighbours were concerned that PVCu instead of timber in a house of that age would not be in keeping with the house or the area, but are all pleasantly surprised.

Mr & Mrs Ramsey are very happy with the whole job and with their experience of CR Smith.

They said it was ‘a positive experience from beginning to end – from no-pressure sales to seamless installations and no cleaning up!’
