Contemporary upgrade for Helensburgh home with uPVC windows

Glasgow & West of Scotland

Our customers Mr and Mrs Cowan were looking to update the windows in their modern, Rennie Mackintosh-inspired home. The house was 25 years old and had black, wooden windows which required constant repair and painting, however the couple wanted to keep the black colour as it added contrast to their large white rendered home.

When Mr and Mrs Cowan saw CR Smith in B&Q Glasgow doing a mobile road show and advertising a new colour to their range “Anthracite Grey” they knew that these were the windows and the colour variation for them. The couple chose an engineered timber composite front door as well as french doors out to the garden to complement their new anthracite grey windows.

“The new windows are fantastic and they have really cheered up the home and us dramatically. They are nice both to look at and out of and we feel much more secure in our home. We have noticed a massive improvement in drafts and leaks and the full furnished oak frames really finish the windows off inside.”
