Lorimer Open Plan Sunroom

Fife

The new sunroom, which is open plan to the kitchen and dining room, is the ideal place for relaxing and is filled with natural daylight, even in dreich winter days thanks to the Scottish weather.

The CR Smith team, which were praised by the couple for being attentive, hard-working and tidy throughout the renovation works, carefully worked around the home’s period features.

They replaced the flooring with rustic stone tiles to make the space feel like it always was part of the original layout, and retained a stone wall which has now become a stunning feature within the space.

Mrs Caldwell said: “We get nothing but compliments from visitors who see it and are delighted it with it. It’s the perfect finishing touch to our home.”

“We never anticipated extending our home – we simply just wanted to get new patio doors.

“But as soon as we saw the sunrooms and discovered the in-house design team could be designed to suit our needs at a competitive price, we decided there and then to go for it and it was the best decision we ever made.”

Dunfermline

As well as being the home of CR Smith Glazing and Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, Dunfermline was once the capital of Scotland and is a great place to visit if you’re interested in history. Dunfermline’s heritage quarter includes the 12th century abbey which is the final resting place of Robert the Bruce and the burial site of 11 other Scottish kings and queens. The famous philanthropist Andrew Carnegie was also born in Dunfermline.

With a population over 50,000, it is no wonder that the West Fife town offers a variety of properties, ranging from large, well-spaced villas set back from the street in often generous grounds to modern well-appointed housing developments offering a variety of properties to suit all budgets.
