The Samsons’ Edinburgh home featured a patio at the back. They decided they would get more out of the space with a conservatory, a place to enjoy the afternoon sun.
The big question was how on earth could we fit a conservatory onto the patio, which was above garden level? Simple – build it sideways. Rather than opting for a sunlounge with a very low pitch, the Gable End design allowed the conservatory to be tucked underneath the house windows and still give the Samsons a dramatic shape with the pitched roof.
Then we built in glass to floor windows for a fantastic view of the garden a few feet below. A great result whichever way you look at it. “The conservatory has definitely given us a whole new relaxation zone.” said Mrs Samson. A great result whichever way you look at it.
