Rosewood Sunroom Creates More Family Space

Edinburgh, the Lothians & Borders

Mr & Mrs Derrick wanted to create more space in their family home and decided to extend out into the garden from their dining room. With a sloping garden, they discussed with their sales representative the possibility of creating internal stairs from the dining room into the new living space, as they knew for privacy they did not want to build the new sunroom up to meet the level of the existing room. They wanted doors opening out into the garden where there was originally just a window to create additional access.

3D visuals were drawn up so Mr & Mrs Derrick could visualise exactly how their design would look on their home and they are delighted with the space that has been created. They chose rosewood coloured windows and doors externally to match the rest of the home but also internally as it matches the existing woodwork perfectly. Two velux windows were specified to allow more light to flood the space and the feature staircase and banisters create a beautiful entrance into the sunroom and complete the space.

CR Smith brought this family’s vision to life and they now use this lovely open plan sunroom all the time, only using their lounge when there is something specific they want to watch on television.
