When Mr Stirling and his partner bought their property three years ago it was to be their forever home, but they soon found the picturesque views of the Forth Road Bridge they loved so much were being obscured by their failing double glazing.
Originally built in the 1970’s, the property’s windows and doors had never been replaced. Every detail was carefully considered when designing their new windows and doors – from the choice of style to the positioning of the openers.
Lorimer tilt & turn windows suited the first floor living area perfectly, ensuring that when relaxing on the sofa their stunning view of the Forth was uninterrupted, while also opening at a safe height. Replacing narrow French doors with a single glass door on the adjoining balcony has not only increased the quality of light in the living area but also provided the family with much easier access.
Impressed by the work of the whole CR Smith team and the quality of their bespoke Lorimer windows, the couple and their young daughter were overjoyed with the finished project.
“We feel like we designed our home ourselves because we didn’t just replace the windows and doors like for like. With the help of CR Smith, we have really made the most of our home and its beautiful view.”
