Lorimer Gable Front Conservatory, Brechin, Angus

Aberdeenshire

Now that the conservatory is finished, the Mitchells can happily say that this latest conservatory is their proudest work: “We love everything about it, we really appreciate the time and effort the team took to get the room right for us. The sunburst details are a particular high point.”

Brechin is a town found on the River South Esk in Angus. It is well known for its cathedral, eleventh century round tower, Pict Museum and the Caledonian Railway.  Brechin originally grew to the north of the cathedral and sits close to the river while some of the other attractions sit slightly outside and around the town.

The River South Esk has played an important part in the development of Brechin. As a supply of water, it was essential for the establishment of industry in the town. The supply of water meant mills could be built in order to produce textiles and later brewing and distilling mills during the 19th Century.

Inevitably in an area with so much history there are a number of period homes from across the ages, with parts of Brechin carrying conservation area status.

So whether young or old, it’s always best to get advice on what type of window or new living space is going to best suit the style of your home and add to its appearance and value, like Mr and Mrs Mitchell.
