New windows can indeed transform a home. We help our customers plan and design new window styles. The replacement windows are then expertly installed by a team of joiners, making homes cosier and brighter than ever before.
Our top three recent transformations, show how we can make a feature of a window, creating character for a home where there was little before. How we can design windows to let in more light, make them easier to use and simply far nicer to look at. And, in some instances, how our beautiful Lorimer windows have also inspired a complete room makeover.
Features of Lorimer windows
The unique features of our double glazed windows and our attention to detail make this all possible. You will find that our window frames have a beautiful, contoured shape to give a slim, distinct look, while our glazing techniques leave clear sight lines to let in the maximum amount of light and a clean, stylish appearance. We have window styles to complement every property, from traditional to modern homes. The most popular window style is the casement window.
Inside, all our windows are perfectly framed with beautiful, furniture-quality timber sills and surrounds – varnished, waxed or painted to complement your home’s interiors. The impact of this design expertise is that you will never look at your windows in the same way again.
But the experience of new uPVC windows goes beyond their good looks. Lorimer windows are designed with ease of use, security and energy efficiency in mind. They are fully reinforced for optimum strength and energy ‘A’ rated for improved thermal performance. With our unique 10-year triple guarantee, the Lorimer transformation is also one that brings peace of mind.

Our top 3 before & after transformations
1. Let in the light
This living room had a whole refresh, simply by fitting the perfect Lorimer window style – the casement. The customer also opted for a bright white frame to maximise the natural light and finished them with beautiful royal oak sills.
2. Living room make over
We reinstated sliding sash windows in this period home and gave them the perfect finish, carefully crafting the interior sills and surrounds to blend seamlessly with the original panels.
3. Creating and restoring character
Creating or restoring a properties character is one of our favourite outcomes – great things happen with the right window design & styling. We love how much the white frames with internal Georgian bars have brought some cottage charm to this bungalow in Aberdeenshire.
