New sliding sash windows retain Victorian character of home

The Robertson’s wanted to upgrade the original windows as they were very draughty and as the windows were so large, they really felt the cold coming through. They were also looking for a maintenance free upgrade to reduce future costs.

The Victorian home featured impressive wainscot panelling surrounds and it was very important to the couple to keep this. They were delighted with the final results. The joiners and decorators have matched the new timber seamlessly. 

The window style chosen for the upgrade was Lorimer sliding sash. It was important to the character of the home to retain the existing features and this style is completely in keeping with the original single glazed sash windows which were removed.
