CR Smith has been Scotland’s most trusted name in windows, doors and living spaces for over 50 years.
“We can’t sing CR Smith’s praises enough!” said the Eassons, who were blown away by the CR Smith service, with the conservatory being completed a whole ten days before the big day. This meant they could relax knowing there was plenty of space for everything to run smoothly.
What’s more, they were very impressed with the attention to detail, as the builders even re-slated an existing extension to bring it up to the same high standard as the new conservatory.
Crieff is the main town of Strathearn lying on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. It originally developed as an industrial hub and key trading centre, principally for cattle, at the crossing point of north-south routes.
Crieff grew as a fashionable tourist resort during Victorian times when hotels, large villas and fine public parks were developed, catering for wealthy industrialists from the booming central belt. Modern Crieff remains a popular tourist destination with attractions such as Crieff Visitor Centre, Glenturret Distillery (Scotland’s oldest) and hotels including the grand Victorian spa – Crieff Hydro.
This area is characterised by large, well-spaced villas set back from the street in often generous grounds with coped boundary walls, railings and gate-piers. While not the exclusive property type of the area, these traditional properties are certainly the main reason that Crieff centre is a designated conservation area.
When considering home improvements it’s important to make sure that the end result will actually add to the appearance, character and value of your home, be it traditional or modern.
