The ultimate modern living space.
Design your new living space featuring the contemporary Lorimer SkyRoom.
Available in a range of sizes, the SkyRoom incorporates a steel frame for strength and a bespoke warm deck. To maximise energy performance it can sit on top of our range of Lorimer windows and doors, allowing for any design combination incorporating glass and solid walls.
The sleek aluminium SkyRoom lantern is specially designed to be extra strong so less roof bars are required, letting in more light.
The external colours available are white and anthracite grey. It can be clad with white PVCu internally to match our Lorimer windows and doors, or anthracite grey internal to provide a contrasting feature.
Depending on the size of your new living space, the roof can be fitted with single or dual SkyRoom lanterns.
See your new SkyRoom in 3D
See and explore your new SkyRoom before we build it. We’ll create a fully immersive, 3D digital model, using the photographs we take when we visit to survey your home. Choose finishes and details and we’ll add them to the model. To get an idea of how it works, explore the examples here.
The Lorimer SkyRoom includes all the same design features and specification you’d expect from CR Smith, including SMARTGLASS®, in a choice of four colours. It features a clever self-cleaning surface outside, and a special coating on the inside, which retains heat, reduces glare and blocks out 90% of UV light.
Flooring. Tiles or timber
With CR Smith, you can choose from a wide range of tiled and timber floors for your SkyRoom, Orangerie or Sunroom. The main distinction is between timber and tiles, but there’s plenty of choice with each.
We offer both laminate and engineered timber floors. Laminate is practical, easy to clean and affordable, while engineered hardwood floors add a touch more luxury. Made from 18mm-thick cross-ply timber with a beautiful solid hardwood skin, engineered floors can have a hand distressed, lacquered or oiled finish.
Why should I choose a Lorimer SkyRoom?
Every Lorimer SkyRoom is designed to complement the widest range of architectural styles and engineered to exacting standards in our new multi-million pound manufacturing complex. And CR Smith customer service is like no other, guiding you through the process to ensure you feel great about your choice for decades to come.
Do I need planning permission?
Every installation and build is different. The requirement for planning permission is based on your type of property and the size of tiled sunroom you want to build. The regulations are different again should you live in a listed building or conservation area.
Our design team would be able to give you specific information based on your individual specification.
