Your home, your style

Imagine a cool and contemporary orangerie, a sleek and ultra-stylish sunroom or a more classic and timeless conservatory. Whatever your dreams, our designers will work with you to create a stunning and stylish living space that’s as individual as you are.
The Lorimer range is based on these three distinctive options, or we can always design something totally unique for your home. Have a look at our Customer’s Homes for ideas and inspiration.

See your new conservatory in 3D

To make sure your conservatory is as beautiful as you imagined it to be, we created our unique 360º design service. From a simple photograph of your home we’ll create an incredibly realistic 3D model and a 360º Virtual Reality walk around, so you can experience your new space before it’s built.
To get an idea of how it works, explore the examples here.

The perfect style for your home

With six key conservatory styles, as well as an orangerie or tiled sunroom, there’s a Lorimer extended living space to suit your home perfectly. These designs represent the most popular shapes among our customers - but if you’d like something different, they’re only the beginning. That’s because every conservatory we build is bespoke and unique, and we’ll do our best to take your ideas and dreams and make them a reality.

An orangerie provides a further imaginative option for those looking for something a bit different. Consisting of a partial solid ceiling but still retaining a glazed roof, orangeries give a more enclosed feeling while still flooding the room with natural light.

Tiled sunroom

A Lorimer tiled sunroom is the modern equivalent to a conventional extension. It features continuous, panoramic windows rather than walls so you can make the most of your views and you can also include bi-fold doors to truly integrate your new space with your garden.

This classic design consists of a square or rectangular shaped roof, with straight lines, a flat front and an apex. It’s ideal for maximising internal floor space and is the perfect complement to traditional properties.

The perfect fit for many older or more traditional homes, the Victorian also works well in a contemporary setting. It features a multi-faceted front and a beautiful, generous curve. For a more pronounced profile, the three-bell shape is best while the five-bell model gives you a more rounded bay front.

Gable Front

A square or rectangular shape, the Gable Front conservatory rises to an apex, with the ridge running back to the walls of your home. We can align the pitch with your home’s gable, and customise it with stained glass, Georgian bars or leading, creating a bright, airy, sophisticated living space.

The perfect way to open up your home to the garden, the Sunlounge or garden room style uses a sloped single roof. It’s great if you have a limited area to play with, or if you want to extend living space and connect the indoors with outside.

A new twist on an old style, the Gullwing integrates the large floor area of a Sunlounge with the elegance of the Victorian roof. The Gullwing features angled corners, while the half-Gullwing has just one shaped corner so it works well if you have a high wall alongside your property. This versatile design suits most properties.

Bespoke and Hybrid

Whatever you’re thinking of, we can probably build it. Share your ideas for your new conservatory with our designers, and we’ll suggest the best way of achieving the effect you want. We can combine different styles from our range, or create something totally unique.

We've thought of everything

Everything we build is made to measure so no two Lorimer orangeries or conservatories are the same, but every one is complete. Our specification includes a SMARTGLASS® roof, opening windows, a Climate Control system, painted walls, varnished sills and an engineered timber floor – so all that work is done for you. We’ll also help with any necessary local authority permissions and consents on your behalf.

Our engineered hardwood floors have a touch of luxury to any space. Made from 18mm thick cross-ply timber with a beautiful sold hardwood skin, our engineered floors can have a lacquered or oiled finish to suit your room.

Your Lorimer conservatory is designed to be enjoyed every day, and even in Britain that means ensuring it doesn’t get too hot. Every Lorimer conservatory is unique and we can offer a choice of different ventilation solutions, but as a starting point we’d suggest top opening windows all the way round, and a set of double doors to allow free flow of air.

Every CR Smith conservatory includes a SMARTGLASS® roof, in a choice of four colours. It features a dual-action coating to the outside which helps keep the roof cleaner for longer and a special surface on the inside which retains heat and reduces glare.

Climate Control

Our Climate Control system allows you to regulate the temperature in your conservatory. It will heat or cool, and purify the air at the touch of a button or set timer. We believe it is the perfect way to control the climate in your conservatory or orangerie and get the most out of it all year round.

All our conservatory windows achieve an ‘A’ energy rating. Each is fitted with two panes of toughened glass as standard for strength and safety. And to increase their thermal efficiency, one of the panes has a special low emissivity coating, and the cavity is filled with Argon gas.

Lighting, power points, and perhaps a colonial-style ceiling fan? You tell us what you want and we’ll get it fitted while we’re building the Conservatory. We organise all the work for you, and the wires are hidden for a smart finished look.

Internal Finish

Your conservatory will be finished with beautiful veneered sills and solid skirting boards in your choice of Royal Oak, Natural Ash or American Cherry. All timber will be hand-finished in wax or varnish, and we’ll paint the walls too.

The 360 Virtual Reality design service

With our new Virtual Reality design tool, you can see your conservatory before we build it. It’s all starts with a simple photograph of your home and the orangerie, sunlounge or conservatory of your choice, including the finishing details and interior décor. Our design team will then bring your dream to life in a fully immersive, walk-around 3D model.
