Timber windows updated to white PVCu & patio doors for property

The house is approximately 18/20 years old and a couple of the windows had been replaced but there was ‘too much plastic in the profile’.  The original windows were timber and in need of changing. They changed 3 rooms into one large open plan room and wanted large 3 part patio doors into the garden.  

They had used CR Smith in their previous property and had been impressed with the product and the fitting.  Their cousin had also used CR Smith so this was the company they wanted to use.  

They visited the showroom a couple of times and were able to match handles to their new internal door handles.

The main difference is the light the new windows let in.  There is much more glass in the Lorimer windows.  The old windows had a really thick frame which they didn’t like.  We are ‘gaining light all way round with smaller frames.  The profiles are much slimmer’.  The hallway is much brighter now they have the side screen at the door.
