Ballater – Tiled Sunrooms

Aberdeenshire

‘Give it some elbow grease’ – it’s a strange old thing really – elbow grease, whatever it is – Mrs Jaffrey’s Aberdeenshire home needed a whole lot of it to get it back to its former glory. Neglected by its previous owner, the old station house has been lovingly upgraded with all the care and attention that a listed building deserves.

CR Smith cared about the upgrade of our conservatory as much as I did, and it really shows.

Already having an existing, but decaying sunroom, Mrs Jaffrey wanted to replace it with something more modern. Aware of the potential complications involved in upgrading a listed building, she sought the expert help of CR Smith. Planning was granted on the condition that the cast iron posts from the original station house were incorporated in the new design.

This was essential in order to maintain the building’s existing charm and Mrs Jaffrey is delighted with the end result: “Everything from the planning, right through to the use of the original posts, has lifted the whole property.”

Imagine a cool and contemporary orangerie, a sleek and ultra-stylish sunroom or a more classic and timeless conservatory. Whatever your dreams, our designers will work with you to create a stunning and stylish living space that’s as individual as you are.
