“The current climate is demanding on associations, however, CR Smith allowed us to complete the majority of our planned installs within budget. We received a great product and service for our project.”

East Kilbride own 564 homes across the new town in the west of Scotland. To ensure residents’ homes meet or go beyond the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, 42 properties were identified which required a mixture of new windows and doors to improve their EPC rating. Like with most social landlords meeting this requirement whilst staying within a limited budget was a key consideration for East Kilbride.

Some initial challenges were experienced at the survey stage due to the complexity of regulatory requirements, however, through consistent communication with East Kilbride and their residents, we were able to ensure that a suitable solution was found both operationally and commercially.

This culminated in a notable improvement to the properties’ energy efficiency with residents expressing extreme satisfaction with the product and process of installation, all whilst staying within East Kilbride’s budget.
