From urban tenements to rural housing estates, our window range has been developed and refined over 50 years for the practical demands of Scottish social housing.
Every product is energy A-rated, made to measure, and manufactured at our Fife manufacturing plant. Designed for durability, ease of use, and minimal long-term maintenance.

Reversible windows

The most specified window in Scottish social housing

Opens outwards to avoid blinds and internal fittings. Particularly well suited to multi-storey flats and tenements where external access is not practical. Can be manufactured to large sizes.

Tilt & turn

Ideal for upper floors and apartment blocks

This practical and stylish inward opening window can be manufactured to large sizes and works particularly well upstairs and in flats.

Designed with a traditional aesthetic in mind, this vertically sliding window is particularly well suited in certain conservation zones marrying modern energy efficiency with a classic style.

Supporting Scotland’s net zero ambitions

The Scottish Government’s Housing (Net Zero Standard) requires all social housing to achieve EPC Band B by 2032. CR Smith has been helping housing associations and local authorities meet this standard for over 20 years through energy ‘A’-rated uPVC products with U-values as low as 1.2 W/m²K in double glazing and 0.8 W/m²K in triple glazing.

Our fabric-first approach means addressing the building envelope before considering mechanical intervention. Reducing energy demand at source and helping your tenants achieve warmer, more affordable homes.

Thermal performance

All products are energy ‘A’-rated as standard.

Double glazing achieves U-values to 1.2 W/m²K; triple glazing reaches 0.8 W/m²K. Supporting EPC Band B compliance across all housing types.

Window colours.

Our energy efficient windows are available in a range of colour options, to suit all social housing or development projects, from urban tenements to rural housing estates.

All finishes are available across our social housing range. Specification can be standardised across a programme or varied by property type.
