Our double-glazed sealed units have been successfully manufactured and tested for moisture penetration and gas retention.
BS 7412 Windows & door sets made from PVC-U extruded profiles
Specifies the requirements for the design, fabrication and performance of windows and doors.
BS 6375 – 1 Performance of windows and doors
Weather tightness and guidance on selection and specification (Part of BS 7412). It specifies the exposure categories related to test pressure levels for air permeability, water tightness and wind resistance for external windows and door sets.
PAS 24 Enhanced security performance of windows for domestic applications
Specification for windows and doors manufactured to provide enhanced security against unauthorised forced entry and is increasingly required by housing associations and local authorities in their procurement specifications.
Secured by design
Our doors and windows are available with Secured by Design accreditation, the UK police-preferred specification for security. Dual certification with fire door ratings is available for flatted social housing.*

BFRC energy rating – ‘A’
All Lorimer windows are manufactured to achieve a U-Value of 1.4W/m2K, which is an ‘A’ energy rating. Although doors do not have a comparable rating scale, Lorimer doors are manufactured to the same high glazing specification as Lorimer windows.

The goods are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship within the goods for 12 months from the date of delivery. This guarantee is not transferable.
