Cullross – Ballindean, Dundee
CR Smith was appointed to deliver the windows and doors of a much needed affordable homes development in Dumfries.
We worked closely with Springfield, who work in partnership with Cunninghame Housing Association, on the specification of the particular product requirements.
Project Overview
Located in the heart of Dundee, the Ballindean Road development is delivering a much-needed new community of high-quality, energy-efficient homes for Caledonia Housing Association.
At a time when demand for affordable housing across Dundee and Scotland continues to exceed supply, this development represents an important contribution toward addressing local housing needs. The city, like many others in Scotland, faces growing pressure on its social housing stock and increasing demand for warm, secure, and sustainable homes.
Our involvement in this project began in April 2023, with full completion in late 2025. The development comprises 67 new homes, including 43 houses and 24 flats. Each property has been designed with a net zero carbon approach, meeting the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency.
Our Contribution
Appointed through a competitive tender process, we supplied the complete package of high-performance windows and doors for this project. Our products were chosen for their exceptional quality, energy efficiency, and durability, key attributes that support both environmental objectives and the long-term affordability of these homes for residents.
Working closely with Cullross and the on-site delivery team, we provided a coordinated and responsive supply service to maintain progress across both the housing and flatted phases. From early design input through to final delivery, our focus on reliability, technical accuracy, and communication ensured smooth progress against the build programme.
