Project overview
The regeneration of Deans South in Livingston marks the long-awaited transformation of a former housing estate that lay derelict for almost two decades. Once condemned due to structural issues, the site is now being brought back to life by Springfield through the delivery of 55 high-quality new homes, including 46 affordable homes for Wheatley Group and nine private homes for existing residents.
This project represents a major milestone for the local community and demonstrates Springfield’s commitment to delivering sustainable, energy-efficient homes that provide long-term value to residents and the environment alike.
Our contribution
CR Smith was appointed to supply and install the full package of high-performance windows and doors across the development. The project required rapid mobilisation — from specification and technical approval through to manufacture and installation — within a compressed lead time to support Springfield’s accelerated construction programme.
Working closely with the design and site teams, our technical specialists provided detailed product advice and specification input to ensure full compliance with current building regulations, performance standards, and Springfield’s sustainability objectives.
The homes were constructed using off-site manufactured timber kits and air source heat pump technology, demanding a coordinated approach to ensure precision fitting and airtight installation. Our team responded quickly and effectively to the fast-moving site requirements, ensuring windows and doors were delivered and installed on time without compromising quality or performance.
