Past employee Mr Wallace came straight to CR Smith when he wanted to replace his Dunfermline property’s windows. The former Manse building had single glazing timber sash and case windows which were in need of upgrading and with a young child in the house, it was essential to get rid of any draughts.
Originally built in 1890, the property’s downstairs windows are believed to have been the originals and replacing them was now a priority.
The installation of top quality double glazing Lorimer Windows has been transformational. Both Mr & Mrs Wallace have been surprised by the reduction of noise from outside and have found the house to be much warmer. In addition, CR Smith’s windows have allowed the full character of the home come to life. Where before the stunning period woodwork panelling surrounding the glass had to be covered with heavy curtains, it can now be enjoyed without a cold breeze seeping through.
Neighbours and family have complimented the couple on their now light and cosy home, envious too, of the maintenance-free PVCu windows.
Delighted with the finished product, Mr Wallace spoke about the faultless workmanship and detailed the care and attention the workmen had at the home and how they engaged with his young son who is obsessed with steam trains, taking him to see the painted one on the back of the work van.
This project has helped create a forever home for this couple and their young son. Putting in some TLC to a house they love.
