They share a name but these two cranes are worlds apart. One is a beautiful wetland bird which was hunted to extinction in 16th Century Scotland but has successfully been re-established in the north of the country. The other is the Finnieston Crane, once at the heart of the River Clyde engineering era, which has been retained as a permanent symbol of Glasgow’s mighty industrial past.
