One thing we can all agree on is that kids will play anywhere. Inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs… even on the stairs. But wherever they decide to build their fort, climb a mountain, cook you dinner or fight off those pirates, they’ll almost always get under your feet.

Mr and Mrs Watson wanted their two children to have a place they could call their own. They asked us to add extra space to their home, and together we designed plans for a brand new bespoke sunroom extending out from their kitchen and into their back garden.

It’s ideal for the kids to play in, and for us to relax in once they’re asleep.

Now their children have their very own play den, complete with toys, games and a television for those must-see cartoons. But it’s when they go to bed and the toy box becomes a table for a bottle of red wine that this enchanted place really comes to life. Having also installed a log-burning fire, the Watsons’ sunroom is the most magical place to keep cosy, relax and unwind after hours.

Now, that’s one happy family.
