Internal Timber Finishes

  Natural Ash

  A bold grain timber in a light gold colour, which provides a perfect finish to any room and complements many furniture options. This timber is available with either bevelled or contoured facings. We recommend that Natural Ash is finished with varnish.

  American Cherry

  An attractive new wood with warm pink tones, fine grain and distinctive veining. This timber suits both modern and traditional properties, and is available with either bevelled or contoured facings. We recommend that American Cherry is finished with wax.

  Royal Oak

  A traditional favourite which is enjoying a revival in popularity. This fine grained, hard wearing timber is ideal for all types of property and is available with either bevelled or contoured facings. We recommend that Royal Oak is finished with wax.

  Far Eastern Hardwood

  Rich, warm hues create a sill which is full of subtle tones and character. This modern timber complements any property period and can be stained to match windows or furniture. Far Eastern hardwood is available with either bevelled or contoured facings.

All CR Smith windows come with the option of Far Eastern hardwood, Royal Oak, Natural Ash or American Cherry internal surrounds. So from the natural beauty of 32mm thick American hardwood sills and surrounds, to the stylish simplicity of Far Eastern hardwood, you really are spoilt for choice.

All timber is finished to furniture standard and the facings come with either bevelled or contoured profiles.  Additionally, if you prefer, our professional decorators can finish off your surrounds in either wax or varnish so that your windows really are a refined reflection of your taste, and make a statement about your home.  And as our sills are luxuriously deep and wide, there is plenty of room for your knick knacks, picture frames and pot plants.
