A Grande Entrance

For your safety, all doors, side screens and windows coupled to a door are fitted with two panes of toughened glass as standard. Every Lorimer door is reinforced with galvanised steel and is fitted with a highly secure multi-point locking system. It features four solid-steel bi-directional security hooks, a tri-laminate steel centre hook and two mushroom headed adjustable cams. Additionally, the Slave door in a set of French doors has two solid-steel shootbolts.

The unique contoured frame of the Lorimer uPVC door beautifully matches the detail of the Lorimer uPVC window range. There is a selection of decorative full and half panels available in White, Rosewood and American Light Oak wood grain uPVC, all of which are available internally in either white or matching finish.

A full glass panelled door with side screens can transform a dark hallway, letting in maximum light and a pane of patterned glass in each sealed unit ensures your privacy.

Lorimer letterboxes are spring loaded and draught proofed on both sides. They are fitted to a panel in the centre of the door, which is located between the two transom bars giving the door more strength as well as making it more attractive. This is a unique feature of Lorimer uPVC doors. CR SMITH considers every detail, including the position of letterboxes.

CR SMITH offers an extensive choice of traditional stained glass, leaded and bevelled designs. Alternatively you can develop your own design to reflect your interior decor, highlight your hobbies or even create a tribute to your pets. Entrance door handles are available in Black, Gold, Satin Chrome and White.

Door Panels

The Elegance Panel Range is 1 of only 3 UK panel ranges to hold BBA accreditation and standards are re-assessed every six months.

The Elegance Panel Range is made to EN ISO 9001:2008 and is BBA approved. Additionally the manufacturer of the Elegance Range is LAPFAG approved (Local Authority PVCu Frame Advisory Group).

Components

The Elegance panel is constructed from three main components:

1.  9mm moisture-resistant MDF, which is fitted to the outside skin and used to reinforce the panel. This also acts as an added security feature.

2. EHDFRA polystyrene core (Extra High Density Fire Retardant Additive). This means that if a naked flame comes into contact with the material the polystyrene will self extinguish once the flame is removed.

3. 1.5mm PVCu skin on both the inside and outside. BS476: Part 12 1991 (Method test for ignitability of products by direct impingement). This means it is resistant to a naked flame. In addition to these three components. Renolit foils are used to match the colour used on your chosen Lorimer door.
