Creating a winter wonderland Christmas dining experience

Christmas is fast approaching, and if you’re hosting dinner for all the family, why not pull out all the stops and transform your conservatory in to a magical winter wonderland.

If you fancy having a stylish place to dine, it’s time to stock up on candles and fairy lights. A conservatory can be dim when dusk falls, so invest in lots of fairy lights, which you can hang from the roof and have cascading down the windows.

With white and silver tones high on the style agenda, you can easily create a modern and eye-catching look.

If you need some design inspiration, Kelly Hoppen, interior designer to the stars, is the woman to follow. And pay a visit to the White Company for some timeless elegant bone china plates and sparkling glassware that will last a lifetime.

Silver candles holders are a must to maximise beautifully scented wintry-themed candles, such as cinnamon or clove. Whereas vases of white flowers with sprigs of eucalyptus create elegant focal points.

If you fancy being creative, gather some thin tree branches from your garden and spray paint them white and silver. You can display these in a tall vase and leave them bare or hang beautiful glass baubles.

Fresh hand tied springs of rosemary placed upon crisp white cotton napkins not only look festive, but they’ll give a beautiful natural scent too.

To make the area feel very cosy, invest in some Icelandic sheepskin rugs to place upon the dining chairs. Once Christmas is over, you can either place them on the floors or accent chairs throughout your home.

Keep your fingers crossed for some real snow so your garden is a continuation of the winter wonderland theme!
